You humans seem to have this idea that you gots to march along every time we goes out. But sometimes it’s nice just too take your time and mooches along, sniffing one place really, really good and sitting around and smelling the breeze. Especially when you’re an older dog like me. Don’t gets me wrong, I likes going places too, but some days I just likes to take it easy instead.
The humans gets boreds easilies, so they don’t likes moochings so much, especially if the weather is rainings, ’cause they say they get cold and wet standing around. So it’s a good idea to brings something along to keep your human entertaineds when you goes moochings, ’cause they says that watching me sniffs the same spot for five minutes is not that much fun.
You see, the poor humans is smellies blind and can hardly smell anythings! So they can’t understands why us doggies finds smellies so interestings and gets bored ’cause they got nothings to do. The poor things can’t help it, so you got to be understanding and humours them a bit.
I gets my human to bring her camera, so she can keep herself busy taking nice pictures of me and other stuff. That keeps her amuseds so she won’t complain and say “Come on Jasper, I’m cold and bored!” too much.
I got good humans, so they lets me smell on days I feels like it and don’t just drags me along like some people do. I’ve seen dogs being walked along like they were in the army, not even being alloweds to sniff and having to poo as they walk, the poor things! Their humans seem to just wants to tires them out as much as possible without carings what their doggies wants to do. I’m glad I don’t have boring humans like that!
Someone said to my human the other day that they didn’t know how she could stand walkings with me when I likes to stop so much nowadays. But my humans said she doesn’t mind, ’cause I’m olders and some day she’ll give anything to be able to stand around watching me sniff again and I won’t be there. So she’s enjoyings me every day while she has me. I think she’s pretty smart for a human 😉
Sweet! And very true! 🙂
