You might not believes this nowadays, but when I was younger I was pretty crazies!
Being a Terrier mixed with Collie, I was very high energy and wanteds to do stuff all day. My humans likeds having a mad young doggie and did lots and lots and lots of stuff with me, so everyone was happies. But if they’d just gots me thinking I was cute and they could go for a little bit of a walk whenevers they felt likes it, and not do much stuff with me the rest of the times, everyone would haves been very unhappies instead. ‘Cause I wasn’t just going to sit around all day, not a mad young doggie like I was!

You can get an older doggie of an active breed if you thinks the young ones will be a bit too crazies! (Thank you Gillian for letting me borrow your picture!)
So it’s very, very importants that the humans gets a dog that can fits in with how much time they haves for it.
If you’re workings all day, an older well behaved doggie likes me nowadays is the bestest. They don’t haves to be quite as old as me if you don’t wants (although I’m only seven!), around three or four years or so will do perfects. Pupsters needs lots and lots of time and trainings and gets lonelies more than us older doggies, so you shouldn’t get a pupster if you’re gone all day unless you can get someone to help you look after it.

A slightly older pupster like this one is a good idea if you wants easier toilet trainings and stuff!
My humans got me as a six month old, ‘ cause they had to be busy some hours of the day and didn’t think it would be fair on a pupster to leaves them. They said I was still really cute at that age (they says I’m still cute actually and I believes them!).
If you don’t likes to go for long walks, don’t get a doggie breed that needs lots of walks, gets a lazy one! Or if you really, really wants that breed, looks for an older one that is lazier than usual and is already calm and can copes with your life.
If you don’t wants to do much trainings, don’t gets a really smart doggie likes me, gets a stupider one that will listens more without lots of work! I’m a good doggie, but I’m so smart that I sometimes thinks I knows better than the humans and I’m very stubborns too.
And don’t gets a really big dog if you don’t wants to train it, because untraineds big dogs are really, really hard to manage. Lots of the big dogs in MADRA gots dumpeds when they got too big, just ’cause no one ever bothered to train them properlies! I don’t know what their humans was thinking, they must have been big dummies if they thought their big doggie would just magically learn how to behaves without any work!
I was very, very lucky when my humans found me (and the humans was very lucky too, ’cause I’m specials!), because MADRA are really, really good at finding which humans fits best with which doggie. So if you’re not sure about the type of doggie you should get, why not asks them?
(And don’t be too fussies, my humans never saw me before they got me and look how happies we all are!)
