When I was younger, I could runs around and play all day and never get tireds, but I get tired easier now I’m older.
Us doggies don’t needs the same amounts of exercise all our lives. And all dogs is different about how much exercises they do need.
Pupsters should only go for really short on on lead walks, cause it puts too much stresses on their young joints and they could end up with ouchy legs like me when they’re olders. The humans tells me that the rule is 5 minutes of lead walkings for every month of age until the doggie is one year old or olders if it’s a big doggie, cause they grow slowers than us little guys. Playings on soft ground is OK.
I had to act like an old mansy doggie before my times because I got ouchy knees, all because before I was rescueds no one looked after me properlies or feds me any good foods. It’s not fun at all to be ouchies all of the times, so humans, makes sure you takes care of your young doggies so they can run around when they’re olders.
Older doggies, especially with ouchy legs like me, don’t need as much walkings as younger ones. We still likes to go for walks, but we don’t need to go quite as far as before. Some days, I likes to go for a long walk, but sometimes I just likes to sit and sniff the air a bit, so you should always listens to what your older doggie feels like doings and not just drags them along.
I still loves to swim though, cause it’s not so hard on my legs and it’s FUN!
When I was youngers, I hads to walk fast and not stop to sniff so much, cause the humans wouldn’t waits for me. Now I’ve got ouchy knees though, they has to let me do what I wants a bit more, cause I’m not able to hurries, so we sniff and stops a lot.
Sometimes the humans gets annoyeds at how slow we’re goings and think I shouldn’t stop to sniff so much, but I don’t cares a bit. If they wants to walk really fast, they can goes without me!
