#26 – You’ve got to earn it

Nothing in life is free

I don’t mind workings for my food!

The humans say I can be stubborns at times, but I likes to call it determineds!

When I first came to live with the humans after I was adopteds, I was only a pupster of six months and I thought I had to be really, really, good and listens to everything they tolds me or they might not keeps me after all.

Then I realised I was stayings and got to be a little bit olders and I turned into teenager doggie! I realised the humans was stuck with me and wasn’t giving me back, so I decided I was going to try and see how much of doings what I wants I could gets away with. I used to run off after other doggies when I felts like it and not listens to the humans and nearly gets lost and the humans would get upset, but I didn’t cares.

Young and stubborns

If the humans makes you listen before doing any fun stuff with you, you soon gets into the habit.

So the humans starteds teaching me to listens again by making me realise that they had all the good, fun stuff and if I didn’t listens, I wouldn’t get it.  They’d never just throws the ball for me, they’d makes me sit nicely and waits for it and only then throw the ball. And the same with all the fun and nice stuff they did with me or gaves me.

Your wish is my command

Being obedients doesn’t mean being borings!

I soon realised that I had to listens to the humans and not be too stubborns, cause life was no fun otherwise. The humans call it “Learn to earn” and sometimes “Nothing in life is free” and it really works with thick headed teenage doggies like I was.

It might even work for teenage humans, but I heards they’re even more stubborn than a stubborn teenage Terrier, so I’m not too sure about thats…

Really good linkie:

Jasper is on my regular visit list as he makes absolute sense and you cannot beat the wisdom of an old dog. If I lived closer I would have awarded him a Crispy Pig’s Ear for his trouble. Well done Jasper.
