#12 –  Leave it!

Leave it is a REALLY good command to learns. Sometimes the humans don’t wants you to haves their stuff or stuffs you find. If you know leave it, the humans can tells you when you’re not supposed to have stuff and then you can leaves it and they’ll say you’re a good doggie and not gets mad at you. They might even gives you a treat for whatever your hads instead!

Leave it is easiest to learn, but you needs to practice lots and lots to gets good at it. It can be funs if you plays it as parts of a game of fetch, where you haves to waits to go and gets the ball. Learning new stuff as parts of playing is THE BEST! I’m really, really good at leave it now and have even leave its chicken bones I picked up by mistakes when my humans tolds me to – they was really happy with me and gave me LOTS of treats afters! I can leaves it for not rolling in nice smellies too – the humans just don’t understands about nice smellies… But only if you tell me before I starteds, cause I’m only doggie after all!

You can evens learns leave it for other doggies you don’t likes or to reminds you not to runs after cats once you knows how to does it for foods. Good linkie on how to start HERE
